Adultolescence Book Review
3.5/ 5 stars I read this one day at work, it was just hanging out in the poetry section. I was like "Hey, I've seen her on Facebook. Her videos are pretty funny. Let's check it out." Mind you, I'm not much of a poetry reader, which my boss is slowly trying to change. I have tried writing some before. It's just not my thing really. But Gabbie did a great job I think.
Some poems are great! Some are hilarious (like laugh-out-loud funny), others are more serious and actually hit you in the feels. A lot of them rhyme, which is nice. Since I'm not a huge poetry reader, having something rhyme makes it easier for me to follow. There are a few very clever dry humor moments, which I enjoyed a lot. I am a very sarcastic person, so I love dry humor. The drawings are so cute.
I admire Gabbie for putting herself out there, even more so than in her Youtube/ Facebook videos. There is a lot of her in this book. I felt like we had been long time friends just chatting and her telling me random things about herself. It was nice to get a peak into her mind.
If you like her YouTube channel. check it out!
